Thanks for all this information ..have downloaded 20 magazines ..can no longer get Martha Stewart Living nor Weight Watchers ..but can't find the magazine section which should show them all ..reading now or recent ..I can't find that on my 12.9 " iPad ..hate all these changes but then again now get the Globe and Mail ..so there is an upside!

Just updated and my device is not working anymore, cannot connect to network – just stuck in searching. Bad updates! and most of the feature is not available in Asia.

Jeff, have been playing with it since launch. A few are comparing it to Texture, I disagree. What I don’t like, is the fact that there is no “true” way to add or delete a magazine from the “My Magazines” section. On Texture, you can set this up, but not from News +. Also, they touted that you would now have access to the wall Street Journal, but that’s not true. You have access to articles within the Journal, but not the actual subscription. I’m still on the fiancé on this one, but so far, not extremely impressed. You would have to do a true comparison or what it is you read, and what that subscription actually costs. For example, I picked up a yearly subscription to Wired for $5.00 per YEAR… I’m sure a lot of bargain will start to roll out. The only upside so far is the family sharing aspect of this.

Magazines and newspapers have always had a few, worthwhile articles mixed with 80-90% meaningless fluff and advertising-like "news" and features. I wouldn't pay more than $5 dollars for a service like News+ and I probably would unsubscribing and re-subscribing just to read specific magazines and features throughout the year. I think buying a couple of magazines or newspapers a year that I really want to read is superior to paying $120/year to read every magazine I could ever want.

2:45 That now reminds me of the "Mag+" system that Bonnier Publishing (I think that's what the company was called) had for most, if not all, magazines that they published, which includes Popular Science, and in that system, the pages were formatted similarly to what you showed, so I'm sure the articles would look truer to their print copies when reading on an iPad or Mac.
8:09 I'm still going to believe that some of Google's apps did that first, but hey, at least Apple is doing it too now…
