Is the built in speaker in the frame of the TV or the connect box?

Good review…but…200 dollars for wood frames that should come with "The Frame" tv, the cords should be buried in the wall, there is an external black box, you still would have a clunky cable provider black box with cords and probably line of sight cable remote, using the included sansung remote is not ideal (I have this remote and it should have more buttons and features in my opinion. Minimalist with a remote is often not desired.) and it's just a mid level 4K tv with art mode, that should be a feature on all their TVs. It's easy to add that to a television, like a chromecast or other would have as a default screem image. (without an artists caption for name of image, location or creator) This TV with wireless HDMI is the ideal. The Wallpaper TV is qn interesting choice as well, but as usual in advertisements for both TVs, the cords are white and purposely subtracted or diminished in the photos or videos. Still, an interesting TV with a design upside. (money money) In otherwords, review almost had zero negatives. All products have some. Added: Subscriotion to artwork? Samsung with billions couldn't pay some okay artists? Really?

as a former geek squad home theater installer, feel lucky you got guys that knew how to mount a frame. Geek squad is terrible with their lack of standards across different crews.

Could you explain more about what makes it better for displaying artwork? Is it just the ability to adjust to the lighting conditions? Is it more of a matte finish on the screen or is it just as reflective as your typical screen. I noticed that I could see you reflected in the screen filming the video, so it has some reflectivity.

Good review! I especially like how you made clear that Samsung neglected to use nonreflective glass and I could admire bits of your room reflected on the great art during you video. Art lovers would use non reflective 'museum glass' (if they use any glass cover at all), so why should they put up with seeing what's behind them reflected on the surface of art displayed on Samsung's product?

Purchased this tv 18 months ago and it is by far the worse tv I've ever bought. The remote is near useless, it is super slow and trying to upload images for art is near impossible. buy something cheaper and a remote that is sturdy and works. most of all dont buy this crap!

I was reading that they will release a QLED 2019 version later this year. I would not buy the 2018 model at the current pricepoint. And also, I was reading Samsung is working with a successor to QLED that is superior to OLED. But it won't be released until 2-3 years something. If they keep making "the frame" I would not spend something like 1800 USD today when you can get something better than OLED in 2-3-4 years possibly. Such TV you can probably keep at least for 10-15 years as a "frame". I think this TV is not selling good (but IDK really) and if that's the case they rather to something about it or they will drop the line sooner or later.

Love the idea, my only concern is that art is mounted at standing height and optimal cinema viewing is slightly about seated head height. I don't see the two worlds meeting.

Hi. Can I use 6 seconds of this video? It would be the part where only the TV is shown on the screen! It's for a video that I'm working on. If no, that's totally cool. But please, let me know. Thanks.

Great video Erin. We install lots of the Frame and one comment you made about "adding a soundbar"…please please never add a soundbar to a Frame TV. Then it will look like a TV. We recommend using in-ceiling or hidden speakers to complement the stealth decor. Check out some of our amazing installs on our website and instagram @c9av and http://www.c9av.com … cheers.

Overall the tv is good but if you want to display your own images in the Art mode (which this tv is all about) as a simple slideshow then you can't!!! This is a massive downside of the tv. The tv can pay slideshow in normal mode but this is not any different than any good tv cannot do. The whale point of having the Art mode is that I can switch between TV mode and Art mode instantly. Unfortunately, this cannot be done if I want my art to change frequently like in a slideshow. It is a hassle to pay slideshow of my photographs as each time I switch to tv mode I have to re-do slideshow setup which is kind of pointless to have an expensive tv if it is not any better at this then any tv. This is very backwards. So if you are a photographer and have a lot of images to display conveniently in a short amount of time then this tv is not for you. The art mode has cool futures if you want to display one image at the time only!!!! If you want to display another image in the Art mode then each time you need to manually change it. As of the writing of the review, I do not know of any product which can do this in a convenient and in a beautiful way. I heard that LG is going to start a similar tv line. Hopefully, LG will get it right and photographers like me will be able to display multiple images on a large picture frame tv without the need of resetting the slideshow collection over and over again.
